A two-storied residential stone house belonged to earl, Yakov Capuani (? – 1794), the native of an Italian city Piacenza and the commandant of Nizhyn.

In this house in 1787, earl Capuani welcomed Franzisco de Miranda (1750-1816) a national hero of Venezuela, initiator and leader of struggle for independence of Spanish colonies in South America. The house is a sample of an early classicism architecture, which is especially attractive due to its yard façade risalite at the level of the second floor and has a gallery on four pillars; unfortunately, now the gallery is partially laid with bricks. In the yard of the house, there is a 200 years old oak. The tree may be seen in the photos of Nizhyn dated by the 19th century.
