The front of the fence of Annunciation Monastery consists of 21 Small Shops, which were in the hire of the Nizhyn merchants. At the beginning of the 20th century the extreme western Small Shop, located at the intersection of the streets of Javorsky and Gogol, was hired by a family of Moskalenko, a grandfather and grandmother of the designer of the spacecraft Sergei Korolev, in which he spent his childhood.
